The location
The Timlaline dunes
One of the more striking landscapes in southern Morocco, and one very few visitors to Agadir ever see: golden dunes with the ocean behind them.
You slide down soft sand with the Atlantic in view, which is the part people do not expect. It is safe, beginner friendly, and genuinely one of the best things to do near Agadir if you want something beyond the beach.
There is more on the trip in the sandboarding guide.

Sandboarding questions
How much does sandboarding in Agadir cost?
25 EUR per person in an open group, or 35 EUR per person for a private trip. Either way it is all inclusive: sandboard and equipment, transport, a local guide, snacks and Moroccan tea, plus free photos and videos.
How long is the sandboarding trip?
About five hours in total, departing at 16:30 so you ride the dunes in the late afternoon light and finish around sunset.
Where does the sandboarding take place?
At the Timlaline dunes, between Taghazout and Agadir, where the desert meets the Atlantic coast.
Do I need experience to try sandboarding?
None at all. Sandboarding is beginner friendly, the guide shows you how to ride, and falling on soft sand is far more forgiving than falling on snow.
How many people are needed for a sandboarding trip?
You can book as a single person, but a minimum of three people is needed for the trip to run. If you are travelling alone I can often add you to an existing group.
Is sandboarding suitable for children and families?
Yes. The dunes are soft, the pace is relaxed, and families make up a good share of the groups. Just let me know ages when you book.
